GLP-1: Fridge or nah?

My small refrigerator died for about 10 days - completely missed it. I still used my peptides as normal. Anyone else skip refrigeration completely after mixing?

I saw this online: Some compounded versions of semaglutide/tirzepatide are stable for 3-4 weeks at room temp (under 85F) *after* mixing. So some people don't refrigerate at all after mixing.

Hope this helps! You may get even better advice from other people here.

Totally opposite, I bought a tiny dedicated fridge JUST for my peptides! It even has a micro freezer spot if I want to store longer term.

So, DosePal, did it still work??

I thought it would lose its effectiveness super quickly, so while you might not have side effects it might as well BE nothing. I wouldn't take that risk, just keep it in the fridge!

Look into a temp alarm! I have one on my big freezer, and it warns me if the temp is off. Gives me peace of mind.

Like Petal pointed out, big pharma allows room temp for a while. I wonder if that includes multi-dose pens or just single-use.

I think contamination is a bigger worry than degradation. If you use sterile water and alcohol swabs, I think it's safe at room temp for a couple weeks. But refrigeration is still better.

When people say "rapidly degrade" it's all relative.

Refrigeration slows oxidation and hydrolysis, so it lasts longer. I've read it can slow degradation by about 4x. Vials with BAC have less bacterial growth when refrigerated. Multi-use vials are more likely to get contaminated.

I've used peptides at room temp (around 65F) in multi-use vials. I'm comfortable with about 2 weeks at room temp.

My doc is now giving me peptides along with my TRT (I'm on a low dose of test, about 100mg/week). Has anyone had good results with peptides for body recomp?

I'm a bit skeptical, seems like a long-term thing with small results.

I think some peptides are OK pre-mixed, but I'm not sure which ones. I'd love a guide on how to handle each one properly!

Just wanted to add to the conversation about refrigeration. It's not always about preventing total degradation, but minimizing partial degradation. Even small changes to the peptide structure can reduce its effectiveness or potentially cause unwanted side effects. Play it safe, people!

My diabetes went into remission from this. That's the post right there. On it 2 years now, started at A1c 7.5 creeping up. Lost 35 pounds, solid normal BMI. At 10mg, thinking about dropping to 7.5 for maintenance because the weight loss won't stop and I don't want to get smaller. Original diagnosis was about 12 years back.

not gaining? stick at 2mg for 4 weeks, then up if weight stalls. goal is finding your sweet spot—no or tolerable sides with at least half a pound weekly. it's a marathon. if you hit the high end and still not getting results, might be time to split or stack doses.
