GLP-1 injection site woes?

Been dropping pounds, so my usual injection spots are...shall we say, less padded than before. Using the KLO needle setup, I stick with a half-inch needle for what feels like enough penetration. But last night? Something went wrong. I felt a weird twinge during the jab, and this morning I woke up with a seriously achy glute and radiating pain down my leg. Definitely hit muscle. My advice? Pay extra attention as the fat melts away. Muscle pain is a drag.

I had a similar issue recently, too. Doing my regular hormone injection in my, uh, *love handle* area. Guess there's more muscle there than I thought! Took nearly a week for the soreness to disappear. Definitely switching to a shorter needle. Losing the extra padding definitely creates new challenges.

I'm also scratching my head about the subq hormone injections. Everyone I know doing TRT is slamming a huge needle straight into their thigh. The *only* subq TRT I've heard about is the pellet implant. But the idea of subq shots is intriguing.

I do subq Test C with a 29 gauge, half-inch needle. 30 gauge works, but it takes forever to draw up the medication, and the difference in comfort between the two isn't noticeable.

Okay, this might be a dumb question, but I'm new to this whole GLP-1 thing. I'm going on a cruise in a few weeks and I'm not sure how to travel with my meds since they need to be refrigerated. Do I just skip my dose that week? How does that even work?

For traveling with refrigerated meds, look into insulated travel pouches designed for medications. Some need to be activated with water and keep meds cool for a couple of days. Just don't forget to put them back in the fridge when you get to your destination!

Has anyone injected Ozempic in their stomach *after* gallbladder removal? I had mine out a couple years ago, and I've lost a decent amount of weight since starting Ozempic in January, but I've been too nervous to inject in my belly.

You can use lyophilized but it's pricey versus topical. Grabbed injectable GHK-cu early on and it raises painful welts every time, so I dumped it in face cream instead and it worked fine. Use half a mil to reconstitute if you're adding it to lotion.

I run stills as a hobby but I wouldn't trust my kitchen setup for injection water. I grab Hospira from InjectionShop — get the order to $50, free shipping. Or there's sterile-for-injection options. Don't risk it with distilled from the store.
