GLP-1: June '25 to Now

Hong Kong Yanpep International
I've heard some peeps recommend things like intermittent fasting to help bust through plateaus? Anyone had luck with that?

I have been trying to add more movement to my daily schedule by going on walks. Hopefully that will help.

Going from 111.3 to 67.3 over that timeline is a remarkable span - the rate usually slows naturally in the last phase but the body composition changes keep happening even when the scale barely moves.

This covered my opening two months. Had a tracking app already, and it recently rolled out a feature specifically for this drug class that logs dose, where you injected, and timing alongside your daily food. Doesn't solve the appetite loss itself, but it made it clear by day four that a rough day consistently followed two days of eating almost nothing, something I definitely wouldn't have noticed just relying on memory.

Kicked off on April 10th at 1mg weekly (one full shot) and felt effects within hours.

Injected right around 3, and I'm typically ready for a snack by 8pm. That particular day, zero interest whatsoever. Snapped photos comparing that same evening against the following sunrise, and all the puffiness around my midsection had cleared. Ten days into this now, down 4.5 pounds. (Hitting the gym 5-6 times weekly, push-pull-legs upper-lower split, capped off with fifteen minutes of jump rope.)

On the side effect front, heart rate ran elevated the opening week. By week two things settled down noticeably. Fatigue gets rough whenever carb intake's too low. Started sipping warm prune juice each night to keep things moving down there (working fine, thankfully), and despite barely wanting to eat that first week, second week I could actually finish my own meals and started getting real hunger signals again.

Also used to smoke fairly regularly. Haven't fully quit since starting, but the urge itself has dropped off significantly. Naturally addictive personality here, and things that used to set me off just... don't anymore. Able to focus so much better on work, school, training, and eating properly these days.

Wishing you all the best!

Been on this drug class for well over two years now, just a normal part of life at this point. Skipping a shot for any reason brings on serious hunger fast. Still losing slowly, though the focus has shifted more toward building muscle these days. Started at a much higher weight and now sitting dramatically lower, thanks to a lot of lifestyle changes along the way. Starting hormone therapy soon and curious how that factors into the goals ahead. Currently running a solid tirz amount alongside a moderate reta amount, planning to shift entirely to reta in a couple months once the tirz prescription runs out.
