GLP-1 Meds & Our TRT?

The whole supply chain for gear seems like it's about to collapse with the issues out of Asia.

It makes me wonder about the compounding pharmacies that are still operating legally. DocInTheBox probably knows something.

Should we expect the price of compounded testosterone to jump because of the tariffs on raw materials?

Is there a chance that compounding pharmacies might not be able to get test raws anymore?

I wouldn't worry too much. The raw material cost is likely only a small part of the final price, especially for compounded testosterone.

For example, one source says a kilo of testosterone cypionate is like $600-$1800. If a compounding pharmacy charges $70 for a vial with 1 gram of test, the raw material only costs $1.80 at the high end. Even if tariffs doubled the cost, the price would only go up to $71.80.

I'd expect other countries, like India, to step in if there are problems with China. Ideally, we'd be more self-sufficient with medications, like we're trying to be with energy. Food, energy, and meds are critical and a country should be able to produce them itself.

What's going on with production of raw powders in China? I wouldn't anticipate any supply issues to last long. There's just too much money involved, with high demand worldwide.

The Chinese government shut down lots of factories. No raws are currently being produced there. Add the tariffs to that. Many underground labs have already collapsed. Some good products are left from old inventory, but nothing is coming in. There have been a lot of fake steroid tests as labs scam and run. This started a few months ago. Everyone should test their stuff now.

They did it because the same companies making raws were also making fentanyl precursors. Steroids were affected when the government cracked down. Shipping companies were shut down, too. The UGL scene is completely done once current supplies run out. This has never happened before, and it will take a long time to get back to where it was just 6 months ago. This is being discussed all over bodybuilding forums.

There are a lot of raw material shortages from China. One supplier told me a local pharmacy is out of nandrolone until spring. Lots of the underground sources are out of testosterone and other compounds, too. This is awful for me because I need nandrolone to function due to severe arthritis. It's been a lifesaver for me.

I saw that Oliver segment too. Didnt' seem very fair. I saw a statement from the IACP about it:

Yeah, I saw that John Oliver did a segment on compounding pharmacies. It was very one-sided.

I watched that John Oliver piece. He did a segment once on an industry I'm familiar with, and while he pointed out the problems, it wasn't a fair representation. These issues are complex to reduce to a short comedy bit.

TRT is pretty straightforward to get prescribed honestly. Getting GLPs has been the real battle, all the rules and supply issues.

keeps happening — i check coas and they're 6+ months old. are vendors just recycling old test results? peptides last but does it take that long to sell a batch? should i be worried about ancient testing?

Part of a test group 2 weeks back and we sent vials to Jano labeled just as 'GLP1.' Shipped within the EU so no customs hassle. Few days later we got the mass and purity back as expected from a blind test. Peter from Jano even said people intentionally mislabel compounds to see if they can figure it out.

cap colours mean absolutely nothing — i've got orange caps but no one tests them. testing costs double the vial so going solo doesn't work. guessing it's like a bazaar where vendors pick from different wholesalers depending on what's in stock.
