GLP-1 patent expiration?

Word on the street is that the patent is expiring in some countries. Production cost could be as low as $3 each month.

I'm in BC, Canada and I've been seeing stuff in the news about generics hitting the market by late summer. I'm paying $250 outta pocket right now, so I'm def switching as soon as possible. Hopefully it'll be way cheaper.

I'm shelling out $600 monthly because I'm a type 2 diabetic, and my insurance doesn't cover it at all. With the increase in insurance premiums coming up in 2025, I had to stop taking it back in December since I couldn't afford it anymore. I've gained around 15 pounds already, and I feel awful. I'm really hoping it becomes more affordable soon.

I just started on Ozempic last week. I was kinda nervous about the price. I was pleasantly shocked it was $0, but the cash price was nearly $1300!! I really wonder how much it will cost when I increase my dose?

I heard there were like, 150 countries or something where they never even bothered to patent it, but the researchers are keeping that info under wraps.

I saw an article about how some weight loss meds might actually help prevent certain cancers. I'm not sure I trust it completely, but it's interesting. Wonder if anyone else has seen anything like that?

Oh man, I just saw something about the FDA cracking down on compounding pharmacies. Apparently, they're going after peptides. Does anyone know what's up with that?

Yeah, it sounds like they're trying to shut down a lot of the smaller places that compound stuff like BPC-157. It's gonna be harder to get some of these things, that's for sure.

I think the FDA just wants more control, tbh. They see all these peptides being sold online and they want a piece of the action. It sucks for us, though.

I read a study about that too! It focused on older men and seemed to show a reduced risk of prostate, colorectal, and breast cancers with the use of some weight loss drugs. More research is definitely needed, but it's promising!

tesamorelin 10mg down to $174. tb500 10mg down to $127. this med 15mg down to $110. klow 80mg down to $153. ends the 30th. mia peptides is running it.

picture doesn't look like hospira but it's legit ba diluent, 30ml, good price, fair shipping, solid service. glp1forum sponsor.

KLOW stack ends up way cheaper than individual peptides. Buying TB500 alone isn't great value, so might as well get the whole stack and reap all the benefits instead of just wolverine stack or picking singles.

similar thing happened here. even after legalization, black market stayed because price and taxes were high. took several years to get everyone into legit shops. still some parking lot dealers but nowhere near as many.

Canada here, ozempic didn't help much back in 2023. Was paying 250-270 per pen. Thinking about trying again but no insurance. Prices changed? Can I get wegovy or mounjaro here and what would they cost?
