GLP-1 plateau? What's next?

Has anyone felt like their peptides stopped working? Some people stick with a low dose the whole time, but others have to max it out until it does nothing.

How many of you would try going way over the max dose to get results?

Has anyone taken a break and gone back, only to find it doesn't work anymore?

Anyone use a stack, max it out, and still get nothing? I don't think cagri and survo help much after a certain point.

I've been researching for a while, and sometimes even microdosing every day doesn't work. Sometimes maxing out doesn't work either. So, what are the solutions from here?

What risks are you willing to take, and what are your thoughts on long-term peptide use? Let's talk about what you think is safe and what risks you're willing to take. I want to hear what you've done besides the usual "eat better, exercise" advice. This is strictly about peptides.

I'm on 15mg of Tirz every six days, and it's effective. If it stops working, I'll increase to 16, 17, or 18mg, or shorten the interval to every five days. Alternatively, I might add Cagri or stack with Reta. There are multiple avenues to explore.

When you say "nothing happens", what exactly are you referring to? Is it just that the weight isn't changing, or is there some other effect?

I saw some new sema trials are using 7.5 mg in phase 3, so going higher is definitely an option.

I just saw that study too. I'm currently doing 15mg of tirz every 5 days. I cycle between sema, tirz, and reta about every 2.5 or 3 months. With that new study, I feel okay going up to 4mg of sema, maybe even 5, but that's my limit.

I read that clinical trials are testing up to 60mg per week of Tirz. I'm thinking about trying to source Cagri myself to experiment with. I also heard about "Ghetto Reta," but I'm not comfortable stacking GLPs...

I've been stacking a tiny bit of Survo (0.3mg every 6 days) with my 5mg of tirz. I'm pretty nervous about it. It seems to help a little with the fatigue from tirz. Deep down, I know I shouldn't be messing around with this, and I think that feeling will get stronger until I stop.

I'm on my first cycle-off from Klow, and even though I HATE the injection site reactions, I felt down yesterday when I realized I didn't have anything to inject today. So I got a vial of KPV to keep doing 0.4 mg daily. I told myself it was for inflammation, then I saw that NAD+-SS-31-MOTS-C thing someone posted and got excited and ordered some NAD+.

I think I need to have a talk with myself soon. "Hey, I'm glad you're interested and curious, and that you found a GLP-1 at a good price. And I'm happy you're losing weight and feeling better, and I know you're going through a midlife thing. But injecting mystery powder from China is not a good long-term hobby. Go make a necklace or find some berries or get your garden ready for winter, and take a break from this."

Why stop there? There's always estrogen-progesterone-testosterone to play with. Not that I'd encourage anyone to add more vials. 😇

This is an important conversation for me to have with myself. I had great results with branded sema for both A1C and weight loss. Lost my insurance and had to stop. Started testing in September with research peptides. Zero effect pinning 1.7 1x/week. Tomorrow is week 3 of the test dose.

I'm wondering if I should switch to a newer product. Does it make sense to switch or add something else (cagri?). I'm reading a lot to figure it out. It was so much easier when my doctor could prescribe it. He was willing to switch me to branded Tirz, but I went grey and stuck with what I knew.

Cagri has its own problems. I'm hearing conflicting information on reconstitution – bac water or AA. So confusing.

Sorry for the hijack. I'm just walking in circles trying to sort this out. Feeling frustrated, uncertain, and disappointed. I had such success on sema, and now nothing.

You're not hijacking, or if you are, I hijack all the time. And don't apologize to random strangers on forums when you did nothing wrong!

So many forums I've been on are super strict about hijacking, so I just automatically apologize. Good to know it isn't a big deal here.

I'll do whatever it takes to avoid getting back to 145kg. I've been under 70kg three times in 30 years but never stayed under 100kg for more than three years. I put up with feeling sick from ozempic for a year because it did curb my appetite. Now, I've been under 75kg for two years.

Thankfully, I have more affordable options now that I've found this forum.

I'd be fine with double doses of tirzepatide, especially since they're studying 25mg/week. Even at that dose, it probably reduces the risk of serious diseases. But I can only handle 15mg with about 4mg of Reta per week. Ozempic made me nauseous, but this doesn't. However, my skin gets really itchy with even tiny increases, so that's my limit. I haven't tried higher doses of tirz without the Reta yet because it's still working. I'm losing about 150-200g/week at 71kg while eating what I need to avoid hunger. It seems sustainable. In the past, I'd be starving at this weight.

I'm currently taking 20mg of Tirzepatide. I don't think I'll need to go higher, but I'm willing to. Reta made me feel awful even at a low dose. Many people love it, but I don't think it'll ever be approved. I could be wrong.

Sometimes, I switch to Sema because it's cheap and provides good appetite suppression. When it becomes less effective, I switch back to Tirz at 10mg and increase the dose again.
