I've been holding off for what feels like forever because of the insane cost. Today, I finally picked up my prescription, and with a discount card, it was only $210!

That's awesome! I've seen the starting dosages around $200 if you pay out of pocket and use a discount. Congrats! Welcome! 🎉

Wow, why is it so expensive where you are? I only pay about 110 euros a month. Seems crazy!
Yeah, it's frustrating here. Insurance coverage is a nightmare, and without discounts, it's easily over $1000 a month. I'm thankful for any break I can get.

That would be incredible! I'm always checking for updates to see if the costs are dropping. I saw one website that is trying to collect comparison prices for different GLP-1s. That's really helpful.

The compounded market narrowing the price gap faster than anyone expected - that pressure is what's moving branded access too.

the BC pricing for branded GLP-1 is meaningful but the generic timeline is still uncertain enough that waiting vs paying for branded is genuinely a judgment call - biosimilar pathways in Canada run slower than small-molecule generics because the manufacturing complexity is higher. the people who got impatient and paid for branded aren't necessarily wrong; the generic approval and pricing relief timeline has been consistently optimistic in the forecasts and slower in reality

the south Florida pharmacy price spread is striking even within a small geography - the difference between chain and independent pharmacy pricing for the same product in the same market is one of the more frustrating discoveries for people who assumed prices were set nationally. the prescription requirement cited at each stop is the pharmacy way of managing demand for a back-ordered product

The pharmacy in my small town of about 2500 people charges 43 dollars less than one particular online telehealth service. Could probably find it even cheaper elsewhere, but don't mind keeping business local.

Were you flagged as prediabetic? Because the going rate seems to run somewhere between 280 and 550 monthly for the domestic pen version with reduced dosing options.
