GLP-1 roller coaster ride

Hey everyone, this is for those in the thick of the early struggles with these meds. I posted maybe a year back, ready to throw in the towel because of the awful stomach issues, feeling sick, the sulfur burps, and just being wiped out. Everyone's gotta figure out if the downsides are worth it, but I'm so glad I hung in there.

After about a year and a half, I'm at a good weight, on a low-ish dose that keeps my appetite way down, but I can still eat enough to get back to hitting the gym like I want.

Just a heads up, losing weight can be pretty addictive, and I had to check myself when I got to my lowest (225 lbs). Luckily, my doc is awesome and didn't just say lower weight is always better. We worked together to make sure I was actually healthy.

Good luck!

Starting weight - 350
Lowest weight - 225
Current Weight - 260

I’m just wrapping up week 2 and I feel terrible. Seriously considering quitting.

Don't give up just yet! I know the nausea and fatigue can be brutal, but it often gets better after the first month or so. Maybe talk to your doc about ways to manage the side effects? Some people find that smaller, more frequent meals help.

Thanks, MrsFit. I'm definitely going to reach out. Smaller meals are a good call, I'll try that.

I've been on sema for about 6 months now. Lost around 35 lbs in the first 3 months, but progress has slowed down since then. I'm on 1mg and still have another 15-20 lbs to go. It's definitely slower as you get closer to your goal. Just gotta keep reminding myself that it's still working better than anything else I've tried!

I had a similar experience when I bumped up to 1.7mg. The nausea was awful! I barely lost anything, and the fatigue was unreal. I ended up going back down a dose, and it helped a lot.

don't cheap out on bac. vendor bac fails tests, hospira is pharma grade and tested to 90 days. saline is single-dose only, not for long-term storage. always test your peptides, filter, and use quality bac.

Use glp1plotter.com — shows each med's half-life on a graph. I pinned every three days for months and it worked. Now I'm stretching to four days after hitting my target.

Thread came back to life and yeah, I'm at 12-13mg Tirz now and hungry constantly these past two weeks. Eating way more than usual, worse choices too. Work stress probably, but Tirz always pushed through before. Hate moving to 15mg officially but adding an extra pin today. Urge to eat's still gone, just actual hunger back.
