GLP-1s are LIFE!

My blood sugar levels have never been so stable! (T2D)

I'm thrilled that I can now wear a size 22 again!

I'm a 39-year-old parent of two, and I'm determined to keep pace with my children. My immediate objective is to navigate an amusement park sans scooter (which I'm confident I'll achieve!), but my long-term aspiration is to once again enjoy roller coasters like I did back in my high school days. Down about 20 pounds since the start of the year! HW:378 CW:356 GW:150-160

Fantastic job! That's a sustainable pace for losing weight. Also, I admire the artwork you've got there!

I'm aiming for a similar goal weight as you! Let's make it happen! I've shed about 25 since Feb. How are you keeping track? I use a fitness tracker.

Semaglutide seems effective for many, but I haven't experienced any benefits from it! Perhaps I'm not using it correctly, but it's just not working!

For me, these drugs have been a revelation. I was diagnosed with T2D at 35, after years of pre-diabetes and PCOS. It got really bad after my second child was born.

My A1C was sky high, I had tingling in my hands and feet, and my vision was suffering. I was also over 210 pounds.

Semaglutide helped me drop almost 20 pounds, and my A1C came down to 6.4. But then my insurance made me try other meds first. One gave me a rash, and the other was a daily injection I hated. My A1C went back up. Thank goodness I'm back on sema!

It's crucial to acknowledge your achievements. Medication plays a significant role, but it's not always a guaranteed success. Sustained lifestyle changes are essential for long-term health improvements.

Are you titrating up slowly enough? Some people experience better results with a gradual increase in dosage. Also, are you injecting in the right spot and holding the pen correctly? There are lots of videos online that show the right technique.

I agree with @Nikki_92 about injection technique. Make sure you watch some videos and talk to your doctor about it!

In Islamic law like Jewish law, precedent matters a lot. Nothing in the teachings would forbid GLP-1s since they serve health. Life and health come first in both traditions, so exceptions for medical reasons are built right in. On the water front, once you're past the first few weeks the medication actually makes hydration easier.
