GLP-1s: Do Younger People Lose More?

Hong Kong Yanpep International
Age does play a role - younger people tend to have more metabolic flexibility and often see faster results. Individual variation is huge though. Hormonal status matters a lot for women specifically.

That study has been coming up in a few threads lately. The age-response relationship is worth understanding before drawing conclusions either way.

Slow gastric emptying is the nausea mechanism. Intestinal motility accelerating the other way is why GI urgency happens. Both adapt over the first few months.

Interesting study, though more detail on the participants would have helped. A different recent study tied older age to more negative, stigmatizing opinions of anti obesity meds, and younger age to warmer ones. Ten or twenty years from now glp1 use will feel so ordinary that people get far more tolerant. Anyone judging obese people, or those treating it with medicine, likely doesn't grasp the illness or is making up for something missing in their own life.
