GLP-1s: Face and Skin changes?

Has anyone noticed any differences in their face or skin while using GLP-1 receptor agonists like semaglutide or similar meds? I've heard some whispers, and I'm curious if it's a common thing when on Wegovy.

If you're a doctor or have worked with people on these drugs, have you seen things like this? What did you see, when did it start, and how bad was it?

Thanks a lot!

Kristen

A doctor pal of mine mentioned patients talking about this. I've even noticed it myself, though kinda subtle. It's more obvious to other people, I guess.

I've been told that some people on semaglutide medications might look refreshed, because some believe the medications can slow or even prevent protein damage in our bodies.

I think because my inflammation is lower after dropping my A1C, BP, etc., my body is able to fix itself better. It can now do what it's supposed to do, like clear up psoriasis, etc. Eating processed food messes with your skin. You cut out the bad stuff, and you look healthier again without needing any drugs.

I have not seen any real studies that GLP-1 improves skin. Only weight reduction. There are lots of anecdotes written by people selling peptide programs. A study said "extreme weight reduction often leaves patients with excess skin, reduced facial volume, and an overall appearance of premature aging". Lots of fake info out there. It's tempting to believe there is an easy answer to every problem.

I haven't personally seen any face changes while being on Wegovy. I will say my skin is much better: less red, less acne, and better texture. Anyone else see the same thing?

I'm getting less acne. Is this because of diet changes, or is it because of menopause (I'm 53)? I don't know, but I'm happy about it.
I started with 2 months of real Wegovy from the pharmacy at 0.25mg per week.
I switched to research stuff and am currently at 1mg per week.

I've noticed in pals who've taken 'Ozempic' that their SKULL size is smaller. While bone loss happens as we get older, this is like 'super fast' -- causing the face to look older.

Can you fix this?

My face is much oilier, and I have three cystic pimples on my cheeks - I've never had these before. I haven't started Wegovy yet, but I've read similar things from other people. I’m also breaking out along my jawline, but it's not as bad. If these issues happen after I start, I might ask my doctor to switch me to Ozempic instead.

I recently got my pens from an online business. Before that, I used a subscription service but it got too expensive.

I've never heard of that online place before. Do you need a prescription, or is it just an online pharmacy?

I was on Ozempic a few years ago for around half a year but my insurance stopped covering it, and I couldn't pay out of pocket. One thing I should have done was research which vitamins and minerals I needed. Eating badly depleted my vitamins and eating less made it worse.
I think some of the bad face changes are from this, like a gaunt look and losing hair. This time, I researched and take lots of vitamins. Collagen, probiotics, and chia seeds daily. My aches and pains are not as bad.

Get isotretinoin from overseas! It's a great acne drug. Cheap, and it will make your skin great. And it might remove small lines!
