I agree with what HeartCake is saying. It seems like weight loss is only ONE piece of the puzzle. I saw a chart that listed all the existing and potential anti-obesity medications... it's wild how many different targets they're exploring!
 
It's interesting how this is playing out in society. I saw a post on Reddit that said, "all the mean skinny women better watch out, cause the women who had to develop a personality are suddenly going to be hot" LOL!
 
Fair point tho — we avoid sketchy suppliers but then turn around and buy from Amazon lol. The needle sterilization marks are a real question too. Best defense is just sticking with sellers you actually trust.
 
the idea of trying it before total knee replacement makes sense if there's time to evaluate - the anti-inflammatory effects that show up in the cartilage research are the mechanism worth watching, and any delay in a major surgery that ends up not being needed is worth the trial. the timing question is whether the knee situation allows the window to try something first
 
Will look into that, appreciate having a specific name to research! There's been ongoing inflammation trouble the past couple years, hot, sore knees and such, but never the hip before, so this had been a bit worrying.
 
Appreciate that. Considering trying this drug class mainly for the anti-inflammatory benefits, weight loss would be a nice side effect but isn't the main draw. I have rheumatoid arthritis. Curious whether your knee improvement came purely from the weight dropping, or did it already feel better before you'd lost much?

Also, genuinely thrilled for you on the pain relief. Living in a two-story house myself, I know exactly how brutal stairs get with leg pain.
