GLP-1s: Miracle or Hype?

colace + magnesium is doing way more work than you realize lol. travel + off-diet while on ozempic? total chaos. grab imodium, stick to boring food for a day or two, get back to normal eating asap. had the same thing happen when i switched to compounded through formblends — gnarly stomach week when eating went sideways. it'll smooth out once you're home.

Week 2 of this med. Had a drink last night, same day as my shot. Normal amount for me but the hangover is brutal. Beyond exhausted, nauseous all day. Read that this med amplifies hangovers but want to hear others' take. Any advice? (Besides quit drinking, that's not happening.)

Got my sema 10mg tested and it came back just over 8. Wasn't Janoshik so no refund, but 99.9% pure so I'm using it. Lab wasn't Jano, won't be refunding. Testing more soon. Also got hit with a $20 FedEx tariff charge a month after.

even now there's newer drugs in development. eventually something better will hit the market, maybe something that lets your body make its own glp1 again.

The honest answer to 'what happens if I stop' is that food noise and cravings return for most people within a few weeks to months, and the deficit that was maintainable with the medication becomes hard to hold. That's not a failure of willpower - it's what happens when the biological signal returns. The medication was doing real work.

The biology point is the most important thing GLP-1s are demonstrating at scale - if willpower and habits were sufficient, the success rate on those interventions alone would be much higher than it is. The fact that neurological intervention produces results that behavioral intervention rarely achieves in the long term changes the entire framing.
