GLP-1s & PCOS: Anyone else?

36, female here. Have PCOS, but not IR. For years, I'd drop 30lbs only to pack on 40 right after. So demoralizing! I was putting in the effort too – gym 5x/week, meticulous calorie tracking – but progress felt impossible. It felt like I just had to look at unhealthy food to gain. I wasn't perfect, of course, but the rebound was way out of proportion to my slip-ups.

After pushing for answers, my blood work finally revealed PCOS with high androgens. The doctor told me it wasn't my fault. I'm still processing that, but GLP-1s feel like the missing piece in my health puzzle. So incredibly grateful for these meds!

Thanks for posting! Just a quick reminder to keep it safe and within the rules. No sourcing or discussing unapproved compounds, please. And definitely don't accept any DMs offering meds. Stay safe!

Wow, congrats! Such an inspiration. I totally get the struggle. It's been a battle for the last decade for me. I just had my fourth semaglutide shot today and I'm excited to see similar results. You're looking fab! Keep the updates coming!

That's amazing! I'm getting mine through a telehealth provider, and seeing results like yours reminds me to be consistent and see it as a marathon.

Hey! Did you get your prescription through your regular doc or online? I have endo and PCOS, and I'm tired of wasting money on things that don't work.

It's really important to rule out other conditions that cause weight gain and hormonal imbalance before starting GLP-1s. Talk to your doctor about a full work-up including thyroid, cortisol, and a comprehensive hormone panel.

I can't see much change in the before and after from the back view.

The photos don't always capture the full story. I'm feeling better, my clothes fit differently, and my labs are improving. That's what matters most to me.

I'm consistently impressed with GLP-1s. I recently had a patient who lost close to 50 pounds in about 6 months, and their A1c dropped from 8.1 to 6.0. It's not just about weight loss; it's about overall health improvement.

Those early side effects are normal - your gut is adjusting. Four movements but not full diarrhea is actually pretty typical. Excited about the push toward breaking 300!
