GLP-1s saved my life, lol

Hey everyone! As a funny person who also happens to have struggled with weight all my life, I was a long-time lurker on this forum before finally deciding to try a GLP-1. Honestly, you all convinced me.

I've lost about 25 pounds, and for the first time, I'm not constantly obsessing over my body, my weight, or what I'm going to eat next! I just eat when I feel hungry, and I enjoy being active. It's wild.

I really wish we could get rid of the shame around these meds because this one has seriously given me a chance at a real life. I had to write about it; maybe it will help someone else too!

Just wanted to say thanks again to everyone here. Without this community, I wouldn't have even considered asking my doctor about GLP-1s. I'd still be stuck in that endless cycle of food noise. Seriously, you're all my heroes. Thanks for everything, even though you didn't know you were helping me!

I loved everything about that, from the millennial references to the message of doing what you need to do to live your best life. Amazing! I'd buy that book!

I used to be in the "anti-ozempic" camp because of some YouTubers I watched who were all about the "pull yourself up by your bootstraps" method of weight loss. But then I hit my highest weight ever, even though I was trying to lose weight (and I'm not new to this). So I decided to try Ozempic and learned more about it here. Turns out those YouTubers had a very narrow and biased view. I realized a lot of what I thought I knew about Ozempic was wrong or only partially true. Like, the "Ozempic face" is from rapid weight loss, not the drug itself. And Ozempic doesn't cause osteoporosis; it's from not getting enough nutrients. Thanks to this forum, I learned that Ozempic can be super helpful if you use it the right way.

OMG! That article is incredible! You're so funny and real! I agreed with everything you said, and as a fellow Scorpio, I especially loved that part! You should be an Ozempic spokesperson! Or have your own sitcom! Thank you so much for writing this and for making me laugh so much :-) So happy you've found peace and happiness! ❤️

I've been seeing more and more people talking about experimental peptides. Be careful out there. Remember that some of these are very poorly studied.

Yeah, I've heard some sketchy things. Always pays to do your research before injecting yourself with anything!

It's wild to me how much the discussion around meds like these has changed. I remember when even testosterone was considered some crazy, dangerous thing. Now look at it! It's all about information and finding what works for YOU.

I think the biggest thing I've learned in the past few months is to trust my own body and not feel ashamed for needing help. It's a journey, not a race, y'know?

It's crazy how much your relationship with food changes. Bug_Gal is right, it's such a relief when the food noise quiets down. Kudos to everyone for sticking with it, its not always easy!
