Goal weight smashing!

Hong Kong Yanpep International
The maintenance dose decision after hitting goal is the one most forums gloss over after the milestone post. The evidence on regain after full discontinuation is strong enough that the 'better safe than sorry' logic for a maintenance dose is well-founded. 24 months to get there with behavioral changes built in alongside the medication suggests a more durable foundation than a pure medication-driven loss, but the drug is still doing something worth preserving.

Using the quieter food noise period to build actual habits rather than just riding the medication indefinitely is the approach that gives you the best chance of eventually reducing the dose. 24 months to goal with that goal in mind is the long version of this done right. What habits stuck the most from the period when food noise was quiet?

The non-scale wins are the ones that actually matter for quality of life. After 24 months the scale number is almost the least interesting thing. What changed in how you feel in your joints, energy levels, how you move through the day? Those tend to be the things that last.

The non-scale wins are honestly the most important category once you're at goal - food noise finally quieting down, eating to fuel rather than chasing a feeling, actual comfort in your own head around food. Those changes don't show up in a before-and-after photo but they're what makes the result stick.

This is exactly the kind of pace that tends to stick. Dropping 22 lbs since March on a low, gradual amount is genuinely impressive.

And I like that your mindset's already shifted past just the pounds themselves toward staying healthy and keeping it off for good. That perspective is usually what separates people who hold onto their results from those who don't.

You're crushing it. Keep at it.

The initial target happened to sit close to where the BMI category shifts from obese to merely overweight, but honestly got chosen mostly because of years of yo-yoing as an adult, occasionally dipping under that mark but typically running well above it, and it just felt like a workable number where clothes fit decently. Sitting close to that now and decided to keep chasing something lower still. Historically, dropping under that mark proved genuinely unsustainable since counting every calorie or skipping dessert never came naturally, and old patterns would creep back in. With this drug class supporting things, avoiding the worst food choices feels much more natural without tracking everything on a spreadsheet. So reaching that lower target feels achievable, maybe even pushing further still.

Still have to track calories. Daily. Even on the meds. Difference now is hunger's just not there.

65+ pounds gone over 177 days. I'm genuinely skilled at logging food. Staying active too.

Though I could honestly still put away a full meal, no problem, ha.
