So, a bunch of my coworkers only see me on video calls, and some are based in other states. It's been a while for many of them... probably not since that pic on the left was taken around summer 2024. Wish me luck with the reactions, lol!

I've noticed people started saying stuff after I'd dropped like 35-45lbs or so. A few mentioned my face looking different, but I've only lost around 20lb so far, so my body hasn't changed *that* much yet. It's weird!

I was at a conference last weekend and had lost around 30ish pounds since last year. I'd barely begun on Zepbound last year, so maybe only 5 pounds were gone by then. Nobody said a word! I guess they were worried about saying the wrong thing. I was also secretly hoping I'd spot other people who'd also lost weight. We even had a speaker talk about weight loss meds and exercise! But I felt much better about myself.

There are whole threads of people complaining when other people *do* comment, even if it’s done gently and with good intentions.

So many are scared of offending and just stay quiet.

Then there was my colleague, who hadn’t seen me in ages: ‘OMG YOU’RE DISAPPEARING!’ I’m not, lol.

Can you imagine if they said nothing about the weight loss, lol? I always am nervous to congratulate people losing weight in case they're touchy about it or dealing with some health stuff.

Let us know how it goes. Also, you look great!

The same thing happened to me last month when I saw colleagues after not seeing them since late summer. My weight loss was the main topic. It was uncomfortable because I don't like attention, but it was all positive and nice.

Adding in more fiber is essential. I tell my patients to load up on non-starchy veggies like brussel sprouts, broccoli, carrots, etc. It helps with regularity, which can be a side effect on these meds.
