Grey market dosage Q

Just got my first grey market kit, Tirz 15mg. Came with test results showing 17.8mg, 18.9mg, and 18.1mg in the three vials tested. Seems they might be overfilled across the board. For those with experience, if your kit shows varied amounts like this, do you average the numbers and go from there, or do you assume the highest amount is correct for all vials? I'm not too worried personally; I was on 15mg weekly of Mounjaro before switching. I've been cutting back to switch to Reta and am currently at 10mg weekly. So, I won't be going over my previous dose even if the vials are a bit stronger. I'm sharing with someone new to this, who's starting small, around 1.5-2mg max. To be safe, should we just assume each vial has 19mg?

If they're pretty close, I'd probably just average it out. I'd mix with maybe 1.9 ml of bac water (if I could measure accurately enough) to get about 1 mg per 0.1 ml. Or, use 1 ml of bac water for around 2 mg per 0.1 ml, depending on what makes dosing easier.

It's a valid question! I'm still a newbie. I'm also on a low dose, and if I'm still at that point by the time I use up my current stash, I'll probably average the numbers from the tests, use it on a day when I have nowhere to be, and see how I feel. If I get a little queasy, I'll know it's too much and adjust next time.

I agree. Remember that a common range for subq injections is 0.2 to 0.5 mL (20 to 50 units). Aim for at least 20 units for better accuracy, but stay under 50 units for comfort. Personally, I've injected as little as 6 units (when starting a new GLP) and as much as 100 units (for B-12).

I'm with you on the 20-50 units. It's just a mental thing! Does the math work and are the meds injected? Absolutely. Does a drop from the sink faucet feel like enough? Nope.

It’s all in our heads! 🤣

From my experience, overfilling is usual. Yes, with 3 results, I'd just take a rounded average. With your numbers, I'd call it 19mg and move on. If my goal was a 5mg dose, I might round up to 20mg for easier math and even doses. Sure, I'd only get 4.75mg each time... but so what? I like easy math.

For your friend, calling it 20mg would give them 10 doses, but each dose would be 1.9 mg instead of 2mg. Not a big deal.

Just a heads up, there's a decimal missing in Shannon's example:

I’d recon with 1.88 ml (as close as I could get with rather imprecise syringe measurements) for about 1 mg/ml. Or maybe go for .94 ml for around 2 mg/ml

Should be:

1. 88ml BAC for about 1mg/.10ml (10 units)
2. 94ml Bac for around 2mg/ .10ml (10 units)

I prefer the first option.

I think we naturally become more relaxed about things as we get used to them. Starting super cautious means you'll eventually settle into 'reasonably careful.' Also, since we're not *actually* pharmacists, learning this stuff at home, it makes sense to triple-check everything.

Ultimately, it's about using your best judgment. It seems like a 15-20% overfill is getting more and more common.

Personally, I ignore it and treat 30mg as 30mg, but I'm probably being lazy.

My advice? Pick an assumption about the fill level (correct or overfilled by 20%), and stick with it for consistency.

Related to sourcing... anyone have good experiences with online vendors selling tadalafil? Blue Sky isn't carrying it anymore, and I'm looking for alternatives. I've seen threads about it, but personal recs are helpful.

I have heard RUI is good quality, but you pay more. I heard some others are not consistent. So it's a gamble?

Speaking of sourcing, has anyone used Peptide Sciences lately? I need some ipamorelin, but their prices seem almost too good to be true, ya know?

honestly, switch if you can. was on ozempic for 18 months and couldn't shake this weird full feeling and throat tightness. mounjaro? night and day. no more belly discomfort, way more energy. ask your doc about it.

Dosage variance in test results is normal for grey market - even 10-15% from label is common. What matters more is batch-to-batch consistency from the same source.
