Half a year, 35 lbs gone!

Seeing everyone else's successes has been a real boost, so I wanted to share my journey so far. Six months in, and I've gone from 192 lbs to 157 lbs (about 87kg to 71kg). I'm 5'7" and creeping up on 40. It’s been almost a decade since I've been this weight. Still aiming to trim down a bit more, but definitely a moment to celebrate. This has been the easiest weight loss I’ve ever experienced, and I've tried nearly everything! I was at my heaviest around 218, then lost maybe 37 through diet and exercise, gained some back, yoyo-ed, then finally got consistent results with a GLP-1.

I haven't really made big changes to my diet beyond portion sizes. I wasn't eating terribly before, just a little too much of everything. Maybe a bit too many beers, a bit too often... (which I've scaled back, but not cut out completely). Vegetarian most days, with occasional meat. I bake quite a bit and enjoy a couple of glasses of wine or whiskey here and there on the weekends.

Exercise has been on and off, but I try to get some cardio in (swimming or hiking) maybe once or twice a week. Not feeling massively energized or anything (that's the next goal), but definitely happier with how I look.

Thanks for sharing your story. I'm also in my late 30s, 5'7", and around 197 lbs, aiming for 157, so this is really inspiring. Just had my first injection yesterday!

That's fantastic, OP! Congrats! I'm heavier than your starting weight – which is my current goal! I'm 5'10", so seeing your post is great motivation because I can see what I might look like at your starting point. You've done incredible!

Good luck! I had to get my prescription refilled and I can't wait to get back on track and continue my journey. So excited!
