Half dose too little, whole too much?

Skipping a dose to reset after over-titrating is a legitimate move. Some people plateau comfortably at doses well below the max. Going back down and titrating slower is the right call when the higher dose causes sustained problems, not just adjustment sides.

Finding the minimum effective dose is the cleaner approach. Dialing down to where results are happening without the side effect burden that comes with pushing higher is worth the time to figure out.

Drawing out what's left after the plunger stops is worth doing. Most people lose a meaningful amount per injection without knowing it. If the full dose is too much, drawing the residual separately also gives you a lower increment to work with.

Hydration and sufficient protein made the biggest difference. Electrolytes really helped too - I started mixing half a BodyArmor Lyte bottle into my water while actively shedding pounds. Now maintaining a year-plus below target. Still maintain minimum 90g protein daily plus fluids and electrolytes. The critical part: eat enough. Started tough, but pushing protein intake even if spread across the day was key.

Ice before and after injection is legitimately effective for site discomfort - the cold numbs the nerve endings and reduces bruising. The placement note about staying above the belly button is also real; lower placement tends to hit more sensitive tissue.

Half a year at the same range usually means the current dose has plateaued its effect - not that the med stopped working but that your body normalized to it. The next step up often breaks it, even if it takes a rough couple of weeks to get through.
