found what works for you is huge—food is way different from alcohol because we have to deal with it every day. can't abstain from food. better analogy might be credit cards. some people use them fine, others shouldn't touch them. strategy depends on the person.
 
There's a dopamine thing happening - you feel stuffed, satisfied, and your brain gets rewired to that. Can retrain it but that's work. GLP-1s work for life though, so that's an option too.
