Halfway to my Goal Weight!

Hong Kong Yanpep International
Five months in with a similar starting point - seeing someone further along with the same proportions is genuinely useful information, not just inspiration. You can start mapping what the actual trajectory looks like for your body type rather than working from generic before-and-afters.

The 'wish I had started earlier' reflection from people who waited for the perfect moment is consistent across these threads - the benefits build over time, and the time spent waiting is time where the metabolic impact was still accumulating in the wrong direction.

the instant-body expectation is one of the more consistent obstacles in the transformation process - the body that took years to reach its current state does not transform in weeks, and the timeline for significant compositional change at any age involves months of consistent effort rather than the accelerated version that media representation normalizes. the loss is real but visible only at the pace that biology allows

71 and homing in on normal is one of the most motivating things in this thread for someone at 67. the concern about starting older gets answered pretty clearly by the people who are actually doing it. age adds a few variables but it doesn't change the mechanism.

Started out with pretty similar numbers, and genuinely believed in body positivity too. Unfortunately once crossing into the 60+ range, carrying extra weight started genuinely undermining health. All that damage builds up over time. Made the choice to lose weight purely to improve quality of life. Feeling remarkably better as a result.

Wow, you look genuinely healthy and fit! Amazing transformation. Hope you find some space to actually enjoy life too, and let go of some of that mental baggage along the way.
