Halfway to my goal!

Only 3 weeks until I smash my goal of shedding nearly 50% of my starting weight! I'm aiming for 196lbs in under a year!

My advice? Smash the gym and get some muscle built *before* these meds start eating it. Also, don't rush to the highest dose ASAP! I've been on this for almost a year and only just hit 10mg.

These comments are awful! Why are people so damn rude?

So what if he posts a lot? He can post every hour if he wants. Just scroll past and leave him alone. Why be so negative? He's doing amazing work and sharing it here. What's wrong with people?

Congrats OP! That's an amazing achievement! Fingers crossed for us all. 🤞🏼😊

Hey, I'm almost 3 weeks in. Still on 2.5, planning to go to 5 and stay there for a bit, or until I need more. How often do you hit the gym, Heal_Wine? I have a membership but haven't been yet. Thinking of going next week.

Do you mostly lift weights? Or mix it with cardio?

I try to get in 3-4 times a week. It depends on how I'm feeling. I definitely agree on building muscle before and during. But everyone reacts differently, so dosing depends on the person. Everyone loses differently, so don't compare your success to others.

Hi all, I've been on this for 5 months now, at 10mg. I've only managed to drop about 6lbs and I'm getting a red, itchy bump at the injection site. Has anyone had slow progress like this?

Saw someone's face literally shrink after a year on sema. Lost weight all over! Face, body... Congrats to them!

start low and slow — don't rush it. bump up when you feel ready, not by the box directions. small steps like 0.25mg each time so you know what's happening at each dose. body needs to adapt, and yeah the med does sit in your stomach longer but you'll catch the patterns quick once you're tuned in.

coworker tried it at 2.5mg this week and got sick that night—heartburn kept him up. felt better by day 3 though. everyone's different. just try a lower dose and see what happens.

switch to tirzepatide, it's way better than sema. use an app like lose it to track. stayed on 2.5 for 4 weeks, moved to 5 for 3 months, went to 7.5 when hunger came back. on that 4 months now, feel good, down 30lbs. hit plateaus twice but scale's moving again. losing about 1lb a week. be patient.
