Hate my post-weight loss body - anyone else?

Glad your numbers look better and you're back under medical care now! Just remember that the fainting and low blood sugar before oversight show how intense rapid loss can be. Your body needs proper fuel and readiness. Staying safe and sustainable helps everyone, not just you.

Wider shoulders, narrower hips is your frame. V necks draw eyes up and away from shoulder width. Fashion subs might have better styling tips than here though, youre definitely attractive.

Why does dysmorphia get worse when we shed weight? I've lost 28 and folks keep saying stuff about my body, but I look the same to myself. So frustrating.

I wish this chart measured more than weight loss. The real focus should be muscle preservation versus fat loss, plus managing side effects as we move ahead.

My take is it's less about that actual former version of you and more a mirror of the self-image you carried back then. Might be worth exploring with a therapist. I don't experience that reaction looking at other people, but old photos of myself definitely trigger it.

Loose skin is genuinely the worst part of this whole thing. Knowing everything I know now, I'd have thought long and hard before committing to this path... I assumed shedding the weight I'd failed to lose for fifteen straight years would fix my self esteem and body image issues. It absolutely did not.

(Spent three years doing calories-in-calories-out plus a very low dose of sema to go from 185 down to 135.)

Worst parts for me specifically:
Fat tucks away under clothing so much more easily than sagging skin and a turkey-neck situation ever could, don't even get me going on how gaunt and aged my face looks now, so there's genuinely more to hide these days than there used to be.
Even after years of hoping I could, shorts and short skirts remain off the table because of my thigh skin.
My chest has vanished entirely, no exaggeration whatsoever. No cup size to speak of anymore, I just gather the loose skin into an extremely tight sports bra. My nipples have basically migrated to the underside of the empty skin folds at this point...
Still carrying that stomach overhang above my waistband, except now it's just skin with nothing behind it, looks equally unpleasant and wrecks any outfit that isn't loose or baggy.
Clothes still don't fit me properly in a standard way, dropping the weight didn't fix my unusual proportions from PCOS
