High endotoxins in my NAD+?

Hey everyone,

I'm hoping someone can help me understand the results of my endotoxin test. It was done on a 1000mg vial of NAD+. I'm thinking of starting with 25mg and then increasing to 50mg every 3 days. The endotoxin levels seem pretty high to me. Should I get another vial tested? I haven't seen levels this high in other peptide tests. Any thoughts?

From what I know, the body can tolerate around 2 IU per kg of body weight per hour. If the entire vial contains 29 IU, it shouldn't be an issue, right? I'm not entirely sure if I'm interpreting the results correctly. It looks like it's saying greater than 10 IU per vial and 29 IU in total?

Yes, I do have the full report. I wanted to talk to the lab first and potentially retest before contacting the vendor.

If anyone ever figures this out, please share! I've been researching this for what feels like forever and I can't seem to understand it because the standards are measured in absorbed endotoxins per kg of body weight per hour. We need a thread dedicated to understanding endotoxins for sub q/intramuscular injections with peptides. So much of the available info is specifically about spinal injections. It's so frustrating.

I'm planning to divide the vial into 22 doses, which brings it down to 1.33 EU per dose. That sounds much better. But I'll definitely retest since I have to send two other vials to the lab anyway, and I can include this in the same shipment.

That's a solid explanation. And it explains why almost no vendor ever fails an endotoxin test. You could gather all the endotoxin tests found online and verify it.

Some people on this forum are injecting this stuff IV. Probably not a great idea. Raises questions about sterility, and injecting endotoxins IV has to be way worse than sub-q. I don't think anything outside of proper sterile manufacturing is safe for IV use.

I'm thinking about sending some stuff to Janoshik, you know? I see them mentioned a lot. I like that some places publish COAs, but it makes sense to get a third party to check it out, right?

Yeah, I heard Janoshik is where everyone sends stuff to get tested. I've heard they are expensive, but worthwhile to make sure your stuff is legit! I've even heard that some UGLs will give you credit if you post the results in a forum they belong to!

That's interesting to know! I'll definitely keep that in mind when I get the retest results back.

Regarding the 'research only' label, that's often a legal disclaimer. Doesn't necessarily mean the product isn't pure. It's more about liability for the company.

I once took a peptide and within minutes felt like I was getting the flu. I'm super careful now about where I source from and always check those COAs.
