What an experience it's been. Still working at it but I can see progress now. I weighed in at 199 this morning. Finally a '1' at the beginning!
Began back in fall of '24 at near 430 after some less-than-stellar health reports. Diagnosed with T2D as well as a seriously fatty liver. Super obese to boot. Had to change. Along with the new drugs I decided on a huge overhaul with lifestyle and habits.
530+ days later I'm finally under 200. Healthy BMI is actually achievable. Goal within reach on the horizon. It is honestly nuts. The new changes are my new way of life and I'm not stopping. I will never go back.
Much thanks to this community. It's been a wild ride with some real struggles but also a lot of support. I'm happy to declare that I'm not just smaller but MUCH healthier than before. My labs are all good now. A1c is great. The liver is good again.
More than just numbers though, I feel SO much better. I look forward to being active instead of always finding a reason not to. I'm actually part of my life again instead of just existing.
To anyone just getting going, I say give it everything you have. Track your progress with pictures. Start some kind of exercise. Lay out goals. Find pride in the little achievements and victories. If I can manage this, anyone can. Rooting for you all!
