Hit a HUGE goal! (10yr struggle)

I had this goal since 2015 and almost got there once before, shedding around 140 pounds over like 3 years, but developed a really bad eating disorder... Left a terrible relationship, found someone new, had my kids and gained back almost 100 pounds... the usual story, right?

Finally, I put myself first, prioritized my happiness, and with the help of medication, finally made peace with food.

Lost about 105 pounds since last year and I feel incredible, inside and out. On to the next milestone!

Congratulations on shedding the dead weight of that relationship, and, of course, the extra pounds as well! You seem genuinely content and happy.

Congrats!!!!

Amazing transformation, both inside and out.

Celebrating your achievement!!!!

I'm also on a similar journey. I started GLP-1s in January '25. Currently on 12.5mg. 66/M, Highest Weight 382, Starting Weight 374, Current Weight 268, Goal Weight under 225, 6' tall.

You look fantastic! You should be incredibly proud of everything you've accomplished, especially given the challenging circumstances you were in. I'm so glad you turned things around for the better and are now focusing on yourself, and clearly succeeding!

Fantastic job! My upper arms look just like your before picture... maybe there's still hope for mine if I keep going? 🤣🤣🤣 Did you do anything specifically to target the arms?

For those interested in the science, GLP-1 medications, like the one mentioned, have shown impressive results. They work by mimicking a natural hormone that regulates appetite and blood sugar. It's essential to consult with a healthcare professional to determine the best approach for your individual health needs.

I know it's not just about the weight. It's about getting my life back. Feeling normal. I wish I would have started sooner. Feels good to be able to chase my kids around!

I understand the bittersweet feeling of looking back at old photos. Seeing how much weight I carried for so long can be tough. I'm 59 now, finally at my goal weight after losing ~75 pounds. It's never too late to prioritize your health. Like someone said on Reddit,

I'm treating myself with compassion and gratitude that I'm able to start this now.
