Hit goal weight, avoiding cardio

Started my journey late 2022. The before shots are from springtime. The after ones are from today. Entering my 31st year feeling the healthiest and most sure of myself I've ever been. Even dared to wear a tiny bikini. It's like a completely different reality.

I get my steps in at my job, plus housework, but the only real cardio I enjoy is bouncing on my mini trampoline, lol.

Cardio isn't my thing. I'm in my 40s and have discovered strength training and I'm obsessed. I wish I'd gotten into it in my 30s!

Even though you're seeing results and look awesome, it's a great chance to get into *some* kind of cardio or exercise. You'll be grateful later. People who regain the weight after stopping are usually the ones who only relied on the medication and did nothing else. You likely won't be on it forever, so if you're not exercising now, while you have the medication's help, imagine how it'll be when you stop.

I strongly suggest adding SOMETHING. Doesn't have to be intense, but get your body used to being active. That way, when you stop the medication, the routine will take over.

I hope that makes sense.

The key is to begin very gradually. Start with just 10 minutes of walking on the treadmill. Then, slowly increase the speed and duration over time. And only push yourself when you're feeling mentally prepared.

Good job so far, though. You already look healthier even without adding cardio.

I agree. I'd never go back to my old ways, feeling like garbage all the time. Now I have energy to play with my kids. Small changes make a huge difference.

Hey @Yuki_1982, how are you planning to maintain the weight loss? Are you staying on a maintenance dose, or coming off the med?

That's a great question! I'm working with my doctor to slowly taper off the medication while focusing on diet and strength training to maintain my results. We'll see how it goes!
