Holy crap!!! Come this August it'll be three years since I started my first GLP. Had no idea it'd been that long. Guess time really does fly when things are going well!
Down around 70 pounds total and I've held my target for over six months now.
Stuck with that first medication until insurance dropped coverage about a year and a half back. At that point I'd hit a plateau, was thirty pounds down, and had permanently quit nicotine.
After losing coverage I quickly regained twenty pounds. Then discovered a different compound. Just kept climbing the amount until I reached my target. By the time I got there I was running a fairly high dose every five days.
For maintenance I dropped to a moderate weekly amount, then lower, and now lower still. Never dealt with any real side effects. Turned into someone who genuinely looks forward to the gym now. Metabolism's picked up and energy's through the roof. Eating plenty of mostly healthy food. Nearly all my inflammation pain has resolved, along with blood pressure medication and metformin.
Injection day still feels like something to look forward to. Given how much this medication has done for me, that weekly ritual still feels worth celebrating. Hoping to keep going indefinitely. If I ever tire of cutting my odds of a cardiac event, a stroke, or cognitive decline down the line
