I'm a 51-year-old woman, 5'7". I started at 220 and now weigh 147. I was originally aiming for 150, but seeing the changes happen, I thought, why not try for 140? That was my lightest as an adult, my pre-pregnancy weight 26 years ago. I weighed 220 right before giving birth, so it felt like closing the circle, ending where I began 9 months prior.
But now, I think I might be finished. It feels a bit like quitting, especially since I'm so close. I'm just over the constant focus on weight. I feel amazing now and want to concentrate on keeping it this way. That terrifies me, honestly. I've battled weight my whole life, constantly trying to lose or gaining. Since my daughter's birth, I've gone up to 280 and down to 170. I think "maintenance" for me will mean staying under 150 and accepting the inevitable 5-10 pound fluctuations. Haha!
I took my last dose of just over half a mg yesterday (splitting my doses, so it's been about 1.25mg weekly). I'm going to start lowering the dose and figuring out what keeps me stable. Maybe I'll drop another pound or two, maybe not.
