Hit my goal, still losing?!

I was aiming for about 135, but I'm down to 128. Now I'm focusing on gaining muscle. Does anyone else ever look at themselves and feel like they're looking at a stranger? It's been a weird adjustment, for sure.

I was thinking of stopping the meds because I didn't want to keep losing, but it's basically fixed my irritable bowel syndrome, and a bunch of people here said I'd just gain it all back (which kinda freaked me out), so I'm still on 2.5mg. But since I'm still dropping weight on that dose, maybe I'll try microdosing or just stopping. I think I'd look unhealthy if I lost any more.

Congrats on hitting your target! I get the concern about going too low.

You might have lost some muscle. Putting some of that back on could help you stabilize around your ideal weight.

Maybe ask your doctor about taking the 2.5mg less often? Like, every week and a half or so?

I've only been on this for a couple of weeks and I've already lost about 7 pounds. I've had bile acid issues ever since they took my gallbladder out a few years ago. My weight really shot up because of it!!! But with this med, my BAM is pretty much 95% better. I can actually leave the house and do things now. It's been a total game changer!

It's looking like this is going to be a long-term thing... either microdose or spread out the doses. Check out the SURMOUNT studies—most people who stop completely gain the weight back. We need to think this through. You look amazing, btw!!

Wow! You look amazing! Congratulations….I'm sure you feel so much better! 🎉
I'm no expert, but I'd try spacing out the dose a bit, maybe every 10 days or so, and stick with the 2.5.

I've also noticed some mental benefits. I'm feeling way less anxious and more energetic. I've been diagnosed with depression and GAD, and I'm sleeping better now too. I definitely think it's the medication, because when I was on a similar drug (Wegovy) I felt terrible, but switching to this made a huge difference.

It's interesting how body image changes during weight loss. Sometimes our brains don't catch up with the physical changes, and it can be a mind trip.

This med has significantly improved my A1C and stopped me from mindlessly eating. I can stop when I'm full and do intermittent fasting without issues. I've lost about 50 pounds since summer. Still more to go!

hit 254 last week, my lowest in probably 15 years. week after that dropped below 250 with 50.4 total loss. seeing some lean mass going but minimal. back at the gym now. aiming for 220 by year end.
