Hit my goal weight!

Hi! I'm 25, 5'5", started at 217, now 149.6. I have PCOS. I got diagnosed at 21 after years of issues. I tried birth control, spiro, metformin, and diet, but my appetite was crazy and I was always tired. I gained like 50 pounds and my BMI hit 35. I thought I was doomed to be heavy and sick forever.

My doc didn't want to give me a GLP-1 med, but sent me to an endocrinologist who would. I've been on 5mg since April and I'm down 67 lbs. I'm lucky my insurance covers it for $25 a month.

The downside is I get some tummy issues sometimes and it's hard to eat 'cause I'm not hungry. I smoke a lot of weed (legal here) just to eat. Any ideas for protein that aren't shakes?

That's so cool! Did your insurance pay for it because of PCOS? It should be standard, but it isn't always.

Fit Crunch bars are good. Good protein/fat/carb balance.

Tuna is my go-to. And those egg bites from Starbucks. I make my own now.

You look amazing...goal weight achieved. Wow. I hope I get there by Christmas.

Pork rinds! Great salty snack, 10g protein per 100 cals. Check that there's no oil added. Air-fried are the best.

MYPROTIEN clear whey isolate.

Mixed with 10-12 oz water and shaken.

20g protein per scoop (40% of your daily protein if you eat 2000 cals)

I like peach mango.

Two of those a day is almost all the protein you need.

Good luck. I hope you find something that works.

Thanks so much for all the ideas, I will try them! I like the idea of lowering my dose too

Maybe you can lower your dose now so you feel hungry and don't have stomach problems.
maybe I will ask my doctor about it.
