Hit One-derland!

Hong Kong Yanpep International
Congrats on your anniversary Kim_12! That is amazing progress. I'm only in month two but this gives me hope. I'm losing weight sooooo slowly and I'm always hungry. Super frustrating. You look great!

I saw a progress pic of someone who lost 60 pounds in a year. The jawline transformation was incredible! Seeing the before and after is so inspiring. Congrats to everyone here!

the 'not depressed but nothing brings joy' description is the GLP-1 anhedonia pattern that's worth naming clearly - it's the same reward circuit suppression that quiets food noise, extended to other categories. most people find it dose-dependent and temporary, but for some it persists at a level that's worth discussing with a doctor rather than just riding out

Nearly six weeks into this medication and honestly it's been a massive mental shift. The mind normally races constantly, nonstop. Now that pace has eased into something manageable where actually tuning into the body feels possible, still overthinking plenty, but a much more typical amount this time around, ha! Mood's improved too. Impulsiveness around eating, shopping, that kind of thing has calmed down noticeably. None of this has dulled happiness or genuine enjoyment though.

Yes, for about two weeks at 5mg, quite clearly, though it seems to have faded again. I struggled to be 'in the moment', which never happened before, I'm a bouncing ball, always cheerful and social. At social events it felt like I'd checked out, almost stoned. I wanted to leave early and didn't feel like meeting up, though I'm usually the last one out. Everything felt blunt and I wasn't enjoying myself. Oddly it wasn't a negative feeling, not depressive, just... nothing. Everything tasted bland to me and nothing mattered.

Wegovy changed my mood a lot, and I had to quit around week 3 or 4. Not suicidal-level, but it clearly pushed me toward depression. My boss (I work remote, across the country) asked if I was ok, and my spouse and everyone at home said I seemed like a different person emotionally after I began. Within about a week of stopping I felt normal again. Zepbound has been no problem.

Anxiety and depression here, and I changed my medication around 4 months back. My anxiety has shot up, and I never tied that to a higher MJ dose, but maybe it's connected. Curious to hear what others have seen.

Dealt with depression my whole life so I can't really say this changed that directly, lol, but after getting my meds adjusted recently my head's honestly in the best place it's been in ages. My theory is plenty of people here got a big chunk of their daily pleasure from food, and losing that steady hit of enjoyment can feel like its own little grieving process.
