Holding the weight I lost!

Has anyone else tried to lift the amount of weight they've managed to lose? I can hardly believe I used to carry it around all day, every day. I had a hard time just picking up a fraction of it!

I was thinking about that the other day. I know someone who weighs about what I lost. I cannot imagine hauling them around 24/7. Congrats on your success!

I've dropped 150 pounds, and I honestly can't wrap my head around carrying that amount. Everywhere. For decades, really.

It's so much more than just the number. The physical burden, and the mental and emotional toll it takes are something else.

Keep going strong!

I love doing that! I have two 35lb dumbbells and when I pick them up I can feel my feet compress the floor. Then I walk on the treadmill and my heart starts racing. I used to carry double that, all the time!

I made my daughter hold a couple of dumbbells, maybe 15lbs each, and she struggled. Then she was shocked that I used to be lugging around the same as her! Explains a lot.

I've been seeing a dietician, too. Is anyone else working with one? It seems like a lot of people are just relying on the medication alone.

Good for you. I have a friend who's a powerlifter and he's been talking about getting a body scan after a big weight loss. Says he wants to get back to his old form.

I actually just sent my mom a text that said, "Mom, I don't know who that big guy is standing next to you in that photo, but he needs to lose some serious weight ASAP!" She thought it was hilarious!

These posts mean a lot. Really appreciate you sharing your journey! Looks like you went up in dosage monthly until reaching 15mg where the real drop happened?

Just hope he follows through for himself. Know he'd feel way better down 50. But if he stops he'll climb back over 300 and depression hits hard there. Tough spot and doing what I can - even bought extra supplies to help save money. Seems unmotivated though, almost looking for an exit.
