Hubby's losing weight WITH me?!

I've been taking Oz for about half a year now. My guy isn't on it, but he's managed to become healthier at the same time. He's experiencing what we're jokingly calling "sympathetic weight loss" - like a sympathetic pregnancy, haha!

The first picture was taken at our heaviest, last year around Christmas. The second was taken last weekend! I'm a little over 5 feet. I started at 195, I'm now at 152, and my ideal is 140? We also quit drinking at the start of the year, and our skin looks SO much better!

Did you notice the weight coming off the whole time? I've been on it for two months and I've only lost 6 pounds. I'm increasing to 1.0 on Monday. Same starting weight and height as you.

I definitely noticed it consistently. Don't get discouraged, everyone's body is different. I was really strict with my diet and exercise, too.

I'm almost at the 100lb mark! It's so frustrating, I keep fluctuating in the 95-99 range. I put on a dress this weekend that I haven't worn in ages, and it's way too big now. The before pic was taken about a month after I started the medication. I'm 5'7", and I started at 505. Current weight is 406. It's been about a year.

Absolutely! Staying well-hydrated makes a real difference in how the med performs. I rotate between plain water and electrolyte beverages and it boosts how the appetite control works. A 25% body weight reduction is seriously outstanding-fantastic job!

My facial area always stores weight when I gain, and is honestly one of the stubborn zones when dropping pounds. Plus I retain so much fluid and puffiness in that region. I've been doing lymphatic work using a gua-sha tool and the difference has genuinely surprised me.

Yay congrats! You've got a great smile and this is awesome! I'm losing fat but not weight yet. Started tirzepatide last month, can't wait to see the scale move.

My wife and I sat down and did the math on groceries. We're saving hundreds every month just on food costs. Forget the weight loss and actually being able to move and keep up with everyone else, it's just solid financially lol.

dropped 63kg, went from BMI 44 to 23. alcohol dependency's pretty much gone now. walking 10km daily. the changes have been insane—stuff i was worried about starting turned into the best call i ever made.

The partner effect is real and less discussed - behavioral and food environment changes from one person's GLP-1 journey ripple into shared meals and the household's general health orientation. Weight lifting adding shape alongside the loss is the composition piece that distinguishes the result from just scale loss. That kind of outcome takes 8-14 months for the full visual change to settle.
