Hungry after my dose... anyone else?

Usually I can barely eat for a day after my injection. Yesterday I could eat fine. Which is weird.

Same stuff, same amount. Just complaining, really.

Yeah, it varies. I usually give it a month before I tweak my dose. Could be anything, honestly. I just roll with it.

It happens to the best of us. I put on a couple of pounds last week, delaying my goal of being under 200 before the holidays. Keep tracking your measurements along with weight. Don't adjust your dosage unless you're not seeing movement for several weeks.

Were you near any scar tissue when you gave yourself the shot? I've had several procedures, and I notice my dose isn't as effective if I'm too close to an incision.

I tend to lose a little one week, then gain a bit the next two, then lose again. It's a pretty consistent pattern. It's annoying, but looks normal compared to other people's experiences. So I'm not going to change anything. It's still working.

It's easier than you think! Stand in front of a mirror, put your hand behind your head to expose the back of your arm. Pinch the fat with a clip or hair tie. Inject!

It's really easy! For your injection site reaction, I was getting those a lot and found that taking Zyrtec beforehand, then using an alcohol swab after, followed by witch hazel and cortisone really helped. I kept using the witch hazel whenever it got itchy. Also, splitting the dose into smaller injections helps with the reactions.

Maybe it just means you should eat something? I eat a good amount on this stuff, mostly protein, like chicken and eggs. I'm still losing weight, and I don't think I'm losing a ton of muscle. I don't think we're supposed to starve ourselves.

I enjoy feeling full. It's nice.

I remember feeling hungry all the time, even right after eating. The medication blocks that so I feel satisfied for a good while.

If we could manage our eating on our own, we wouldn't be here, right? I know *I'm* not exactly here because everything is going great for me.

I get it.

I really do. :)

Even when I think I'm eating a lot, it's nothing compared to what I used to eat. My weight loss is consistent, even if it's not super fast.

I think extremes in anything are bad, and I'm trying to find a sustainable approach. Not another crash diet. So, when I'm hungry, I eat. Now that I'm on this, if I eat junk I feel terrible anyway.

I haven't tried it yet, but some people press their arm against a wall to reach better, or use a hair clip to pinch the waddle. Hope that helps! I've been doing my stomach for around six weeks. It's working, and I haven't had many side effects (just tired, but I'm anemic anyway). I want to try something different. I'll definitely use the wall or clip method when I do!

Agreed with Tired_of_Tired. I don't think we should be aiming for a medication that keeps us constantly full. That's not normal. Feeling full after a meal? Sure. But not all the time. Hunger is a normal body process, and we SHOULD feel it when our bodies need fuel. Wanting to feel full constantly and using a medication to get there doesn't address the deeper issue: reforming your relationship with food.
