Hypertension & GLP-1s: Anyone Seeing Improvement?

I used a GLP-1 for maybe half a year. At my appointment, the nurse got the doctor when she checked my BP. He said the weight I'd lost meant I could stop taking my BP pills (Lisinopril). My BP was super low, like 90/65 or something. Keep going, it could happen!

I've been taking BP meds since my early twenties. It's genetic in my family. I started a GLP-1 in summer '25, and by late summer I didn't need the meds anymore! My BP is great now. I've only lost about 15 pounds. I'm also type 2 diabetic, so I'm mostly focused on blood sugar.

You're probably losing a bit of weight, and maybe have less inflammation, and are eating less of the foods that cause it. But it'd be interesting to find out if GLP-1s can *also* help with hypertension on their own.

I was on 7 different BP meds and scheduled for renal denervation. 65 lbs lost, plus the GLP-1 brought me down to normal blood pressure and just a couple of the BP meds. My cardiologist gave the GLP-1 credit and I don't have to go see them anymore for BP issues.

Mine's improving as I lose pounds. I think it's weight-related rather than GLP-1 related. Plus, they can dehydrate you a bit because they make you pee more.

I just went to the doctor last week. I've been checking my BP at home, and it's been normal for three months. My A1C was normal too, first time in a decade! We cut my BP med dosage in half. My BP is still staying normal, so I'll keep checking it.

My blood pressure improved when I lost weight, but the biggest change was when I started exercising.
That's a good point. I need to get back into exercising. I've been so tired lately, but I know it will help in the long run.

found testing from another company on that batch. most third-party tests happen on discord testing server. dm littledragon25 to join.
