I'm feeling tired all the time. Will it eventually get better?

Started ozempic about two weeks back at the lowest dose. Even at just the starting amount I can already feel appetite and food noise dropping noticeably, plus digestion slowing down. Only real complaint has been exhaustion and drowsiness. Zero motivation once I'm back at the house after a shift, and even sleeping past eight hours, more than my usual six, I still feel wiped out the entire day. Know everyone reacts differently, but did anyone else go through this? Does it eventually get better?

First dose hit me with hunger plus exhaustion. Napped, woke up with zero appetite at all. Actually have to set reminders to eat now. Down 30 lbs, maybe 20-25 left to go.

Just started the 1.7 dose. Noticed feeling more tired plus a bit queasy for roughly two or three days right after bumping up. Eventually fades out though, and then things stay fine through the following shots.

Genuinely felt incredible since starting Ozempic. Loads of small quality-of-life wins too, less reflux, migraines showing up less often, sleeping better, and way less soreness overall. Only thing that still gets me is fried food, everything else has been a great experience.

Not really, no. I'm on a really low amount. The rare times nausea shows up, it's after ignoring my body's cues and eating a ton of junk over a full day. Realistically I'd feel just as rough doing that regardless of the medication, so those moments never really register as genuine side effects to me.

Fatigue's really common, especially the weeks right after a dose increase. A couple things worth ruling out on top of your current routine:

Make sure you're getting enough total calories, it's surprisingly easy to eat way less than you realize on this medication even when a meal feels like a full portion. Suppressed hunger can mask exactly how low your intake's actually fallen. Fatigue's often one of the earliest signs of under-fueling.

Worth getting iron and B12 checked too if that hasn't happened, running low on protein and overall intake over time tends to accelerate those deficiencies.

What helped me personally was actually logging meals through a nutrition-tracking app instead of estimating. Even when I assumed my intake was fine, the numbers showed I was consistently coming up short on both protein grams and overall energy. Snap a photo for a rough estimate, scan barcodes, and it had built-in coaching that helped me recalibrate my targets. Genuinely useful when appetite cues aren't reliable anymore. That fatigue usually improves once your body settles into the new amount, hang in there!
