I'm off Ozempic!

So, I kicked off this journey at 248 pounds around July '23, and now I'm floating around 158. I tapered off slowly, lowering the dose bit by bit. It's like my appetite faded as the dosage went down, which is kinda wild. But I'm feeling great and so thankful for what Ozempic helped me learn! Going from a size 3XL to a medium is seriously unreal! So happy!

I stopped back in November. I've put about 8 pounds back on, so I'm back to intermittent fasting to get things under control.

Awesome! Check out the community. It's a great community for sharing experiences and supporting each other.

I'm six months into my Ozempic journey. I dropped 12 pounds in the first three months, which was encouraging. Then my doctor bumped my dose from 0.25mg to 0.5mg. At my recent check-up, I learned I'd lost another 26 pounds! 38 pounds gone in half a year feels insane.

You're looking fantastic. I started in September '23 and have only managed to lose around 17 pounds. Seems like I'm not responding to it as well.

I'm thinking about reducing my dosage soon. Good to hear your experience!

For anyone struggling with the hunger coming back after stopping, remember it's not a willpower issue. Extreme calorie restriction can backfire and be unsustainable, especially right after stopping a GLP-1 medication. Talk to a registered dietician if possible for a sustainable plan.
