I'm under 300lbs finally! 🥳

Hong Kong Yanpep International
Two months in, still at .25. Appetite tanked, food noise is gone. I exercise a decent amount — scared of losing muscle — and bumped up protein. Trying to stay here until I hit my goals. Already dropped a size.

Bought 9 boxes of 2.5mg Mounjaro pens in Mexico for $2,200. With the golden dose trick I got 45 weeks out of that. Started at 126 lbs in January, down to 103 now. Dose is working so I'm staying put. Restocking in the fall with 10mg pens to adjust from there.

Treating it as a tool and doing everything alongside it - the tracking, the exercise, the hydration - is what separates the people who hit milestones like this from the ones who plateau early. Under 300 is a result to be proud of.

144 lbs maintained and planning to stay at the highest dose indefinitely is such a clear signal about how this works long term. the 1 pound a week at 1mg averaging out across 9 months for the OP is exactly the trajectory that gets you there. no plans to stop is the right answer for most people in that position.

Only on week two here. Logged food intake carefully for several years running. Weight creeps up once I go above roughly 1400 daily. Been under the care of my regular doctor plus a dedicated obesity specialist and still couldn't budge the number. My BMI sits at 40, and I'm postmenopausal.

First week on this medication I dropped 2 pounds. Honestly been pretty simple for me since my eating habits were already solid, just adjusting my meal plans toward a bit more protein and slightly higher fiber.

Definitely feels like a genuine breakthrough for me so far. Seems worth giving a real shot at minimum.

Before I even started, my doctor gave me a heads-up that fruit, salads, and lean meals would leave me feeling great, while anything greasy, fatty, or loaded with sugar would make me miserable. Turned out to be exactly right. Currently in week seven at .75. Only felt genuinely sick the rare occasions I overdid it on 'bad' food or just ate past the point of comfort. Keep things clean and portions modest and you'll probably be okay. And don't skimp on water, personally drinking 2-3 liters a day. Wishing you luck! Congrats on kicking this off!!

Was chatting with my mother about this recently. She began Ozempic at age 80, three and a half years back, and went from 190lb down to 125. Never exceeded 2mg, took things slowly, and now sits on a maintenance amount of 1mg weekly. She keeps her kitchen free of snacks and junk food, says she'd just end up tossing it otherwise. Sometimes she craves more during holidays and such, but her appetite just won't let her overdo it. She leans on this medication entirely to keep the weight from returning. Genuinely terrified of going back to her old weight.

For what it's worth, her monthly copay used to run over a hundred dollars, but now I just bring her a refill whenever needed and it barely costs anything. The whole family's thrilled with how this turned out!
