Injection pen help plz!

Hey everyone. I'm kinda nervous about using this injection pen for my peptides. How does it work with the dosing if my stuff is like, measured in 2.5mg? The pen goes up to 60 but there aren't any half-measures. I feel so silly, can anyone explain?
 
Maybe you should do some research first? There are tons of resources available. Messing it up could give you a really crummy week, and you can't undo it once it's done.
 
I tried searching, but nothing came up. I'll try the advanced search. I'm fine with normal syringes, might just give this pen away, lol.
 
So, say you have a 5mg vial, and you add 1ml of bac water, and you want a 2.5mg dose. That's 50 units on a regular syringe. The pens are the same. Dial it to 50.
 
Have you mixed your own Tirz and figured out the dosage? Your question makes it sound like you haven't... that's kinda important before using a pen. Maybe stick with syringes for a bit longer until you get it?
 
Not trying to be rude, but did you search thoroughly? There's a lot of info out there on peptide pens... Here's a basic explanation:

Using an insulin cartridge pen, you first fill the cartridge with your peptide. Then insert it into the pen. Add a needle before each injection. Use the dial to select your dose. Push the button to inject.
 
I always forget if I took my shot! Now I write it on the box: date, time, and where on my body I injected. I rotate around my belly button. I include the dose and how many clicks. My pen has 300 clicks, so it's easy to see how many doses are left.

Like today:
10/26
8:00 AM
Right side
0.5mg
15 clicks
45 clicks total.
 
I've had that happen. I injected and pulled the needle out too fast. The liquid sprayed everywhere, lol. Make sure you count to 7 (or whatever your doc recommends)!

Great idea! I'm always second-guessing if I already did it. I think I'll try that!
 
I never thought about a travel case. Is it really necessary? I just keep mine in the fridge in the box it came in.
 
Temperature is a big deal if you're traveling. Doesn't it need to stay refrigerated? I think I saw something about a special refrigerated container you can buy. Otherwise it can degrade.
 
Brook2008 is right. Unused medication should be refrigerated between 36-46°F (2-8° C). Use a refrigerated container when traveling. Otherwise, you're risking the effectiveness of the medication.
