Injection site: Does it matter?

I've read a lot of varying experiences. Some people think it's all the same, others swear there's a change.

Some folks say they get stronger appetite control when injecting in the stomach, but a more consistent feeling throughout the week when injecting in the leg. It's really about your body. The big thing is to rotate sites to keep from irritating any one spot too much.

I actually monitor where I inject to recall where I went last time, and to see any patterns. Seeing it visually helps me figure out what's working best.

I think I'm losing more weight when I inject in my abdomen compared to other spots. So, I've been rotating there only, upper right/left/center and lower right/left/center. Drew14, are you tracking the location at all?

Something I've been wondering about... I'm using the 4mg pen and injecting 2mg a week. Last week I got distracted and might have given myself an extra dose. Anyone know what an almost-empty pen looks like with 2mg left? I think I overdosed.

If you think you took too much, maybe just wait until your next scheduled injection? Better to underdose than overdose. If you have a bit left over at the end, that's a bonus week!

I saw someone made a travel case for the pen, needles and alcohol wipes using a 3D printer! Thought that was pretty neat. Seems like a good way to keep everything together and protect it when traveling.

That's a cool idea, but it might raise questions at airport security. They often want medications in their original packaging.

Welp on day three makes sense - slight reaction to the injection site. Those usually fade in a few days. Did the itching get worse or stabilize?

week 3, no side effects yet. gravol the night before injection, water + electrolytes, protein breakfast before pinning helps. tired the day after but that's it.

Better way: buy sterile water ($5 for 100ml), inject 0.9ml of the preservative into it. Light some candles, keep it clean. Then use another syringe to fill small sterile vials (5ml or 10ml) and freeze them. Not labeled for injection but it's sterile, pyrogen-free, no endotoxins, no saucepan nonsense. That 250ml jug is only $4.

that calculator's right, your math was off. either way we need to know what syringe — are you using a 100U 1mL like in your screenshot?

losing 45 units from those 10 mg vials is way beyond normal filter loss. could be the pen's actually giving wrong amounts, user error on the math (less likely with the math being straightforward), or syringe calibration. the pen issue seems most likely. what pen are you using? tested it?

Site rotation matters for absorption consistency - the abdomen is the most studied with GLP-1s and tends to give the most predictable serum levels. Thigh and arm are valid rotation alternatives.
