Is fasting okay with GLP-1s?

Hong Kong Yanpep International
the one-day weekly structure is one of the cleaner fasting protocols to combine with GLP-1 - the appetite suppression on the medication makes the fasting day much more manageable than it would be otherwise. the protein shakes as backup when food isn't enough is exactly the right contingency, just worth making sure the total weekly protein target is still being hit

Fasted over twelve months since it kept me from gaining too quickly. On a glp, after settling into maintenance, started slowly adding small things in the morning without regaining.

Never cared much for breakfast anyway. Before the medication I skipped even a splash of creamer before my window ended.

Now eating happens whenever I want, usually coffee with a few calories added, or eggs if hunger hits. Avoid big morning or midday meals to keep appetite for dinner.

On vacation I'll do pancakes one morning, usually it though, since a heavy breakfast kills dinner appetite and wastes money.

Stopped stressing about ketosis, severe morning hunger means I just eat.

Early on with the medication, fasting felt remarkably easy, no low blood sugar sensation at all.

Just my two cents.

Inject four to six times most mornings while fasted. Do fasted cardio and lifting five days weekly. Don't eat until eleven each day. Works incredibly well for me.

Recently did a three day fast, felt totally fine both during and after. Also do daily intermittent fasting, usually somewhere between 16 and 18 hours between my last meal and first the next day.

Dropped around 20 pounds while fasting, yeah. Building muscle was genuinely tough since protein intake stayed low the whole time. Much easier hitting my protein target these days.
