Is this medication doing literally nothing, or am I doing something wrong?

Has anyone else been here? I'm honestly losing my mind a little. I used Ozempic first and my doctor wouldn't let me go past 1.7 mg. After six months I was down only 3 kg. That felt like nothing, and I kept hearing people move to Mounjaro, so I tried that too. I'm at 3.5 mg, a custom dose, and after nearly six weeks I've lost about 2 kg. Again, hardly anything.

What's weird is there is zero appetite suppression for me. Hungry means I eat. No full after two bites like everyone describes. Then I read posts with month by month results and wonder what I'm doing wrong. Do I need a strict diet on top of the shot? Because if dieting hard is still required to lose, what's the point? In the past I lost weight by eating almost nothing, a cucumber and a bit of chicken a meal, with sports, and even that barely worked. Is 2 kg in six weeks normal and I'm just impatient, or should the missing appetite control worry me?

Feeling no food noise and not staying full for long is unfortunate at that dose, hopefully this dose or the following one helps. Yet as others noted, your post reads like there's no real plan. What eating plan are you on? Any idea of your calorie intake? Any exercise? If you aren't tracking, are you at least shrinking your portions? When hunger comes later, is it junk or something lighter? Mounjaro won't burn weight off by itself; what it does is quiet food noise and huge appetite so dieting is doable. You lose by eating less, and 3 months of no change suggests your lifestyle hasn't changed at all. Please shrink your meals and go low calorie when hungry later. Best wishes!

Me too. Years on Ozempic here, lost then regained. My loss came from nausea, not from appetite suppression or getting full quicker. Moved to Mounjaro and lost 50 lbs in a year. I never knew what losing food noise meant until the switch, because Ozempic never did that for me.

Two months on mounjaro here and I've barely lost anything, even with 4 workouts a week. Food could be better, I'll admit, but the scale hasn't moved. Thinking about a higher dose, though mounjaro hasn't been easy on me: stomach aches, nausea and sulphur burps that leave me properly sick. I used ozempic before and got great results from it. Money got tight so I quit and switched to mounjaro since everyone kept raving about it. Not sure what to pick yet. Figured I'd tell you that you're not alone.

A year-plus on Ozempic gave me little loss. Food noise stayed put as well. Then Mounjaro came in and everything clicked. 40 pounds have come off, and the constant chatter about food has stopped. Eating sometimes slips my mind since hunger hardly ever shows up.
