I'm beyond thrilled where this med has taken me! I had previously tried absolutely everything under the sun to shed pounds -- but nothing worked! And so, I'm posting again to express how this medication is transforming my life. It's ushering me into a new chapter where I can leave my struggles behind! I still have a ways to go!

Down almost 50 pounds in about 14 weeks and I'm eager to continue! This med is life-altering! But ya gotta believe in yourself and the lifestyle changes needed! And listen, do NOT hesitate until something bad happens -- act now! Seriously! I so wish I would have started sooner so I'd be further along now, but I'm alright. Slow and steady wins the race!

PS: I can actually wear that shirt I bought a year ago! [emoji]

To keep it easy and to the point: "Do not wait!". Smart advice for everyone.

Continue the awesome progress!

These meds will also adjust how your brain works. The way you see yourself changes. The more weight you get rid of, your confidence improves. Keep it up my friend, and best of luck.

For those of you with slower weight loss - I'm in that boat too and that's ok. I was put on this because my endocrine issues were possibly causing weight gain even though I don't eat a lot. I've been taking Metformin for a few years now too. My fasting glucose has improved, my snoring has stopped, and my cholesterol has gone down too. I'm still overweight and losing weight slowly, but I'm trying to get my ADHD meds sorted out too which is tricky with the delayed stomach emptying and I need to increase calories [emoji].

This med is amazing for various conditions! It’s even showing some promise for addiction issues! Hopefully, the manufacturer has improved the supply issues and the stigma goes away - many folks need it for weight loss because of health problems. (I’ve been on 7.5 for several months now, but the best results were at 2.5). I wish it was priced the same as in other countries, but who knows.

If you don’t have insurance coverage, check to see what diagnosis your doctor used. I go to an endocrinologist which probably helps. I have Cigna, that won’t cover it for weight loss, but I'm covered with PCOS as the diagnosis.

I agree with GymBetter - don’t get discouraged! We all have different lives and situations. Keep the faith and keep participating in supportive communities like this one. Share your story so we can eliminate the stigma. Most of us aren’t celebrities using it for minor weight loss - a lot of us need a boost from these meds to be able to lose weight. [emoji][emoji]

I was nearly in tears when I compared recent pics with some from earlier this year.

Back in April I had gained a lot of weight over the last few years thanks to several autoimmune and hormonal problems. I felt so ashamed of how I looked, uncomfortable, and frustrated that I had to go out and buy a whole new wardrobe. I'm an athlete, but I couldn't even exercise! I felt totally broken. Now I'm feeling like myself again!

Has anyone else experienced something similar?

Totally! I can relate to everything you're saying. Feeling like you're trapped in your own body is the worst. So happy you're feeling better!

That's awesome! What's next? What are your goals?

That's what I'm trying to figure out! For the majority of my life I've been obsessed with the scale, but I could never reach the target I was aiming for. Now that I'm on this medication, I can finally see the light at the end of the tunnel. It is time to go after some new challenges!
