Just eat less?

Haha, well, "eat less" became almost ridiculously easy for me after starting Tirzepatide. It’s weird having to remind myself to get enough food.

I'm new to this whole thing. I'm on my first week of point-2-five, and I'm already feeling less hungry, but I'm also tired at times. I've lost about 9 pounds which is crazy!

Yeah, @L_M_B_Life, I've def seen it! Some people chase a higher dose right away, or try to cut calories even more, but I'm not sure that's best. Have you tried just increasing your protein intake?

I had the same issue, and started spacing my injections out more often. Now I do .25mg every 5 days. Also, don't compare yourself to what you read online! Everyone's progress is going to be different.

Just got two boxes of Girl Scout cookies meant for me. Gave away a sleeve and had 2 cookies Tuesday, haven't touched the rest even though they're sitting on my counter. Normally that box would be gone by now. Zepbound's been incredible.

The 'just eat less' frame misses that the failure wasn't discipline - it was a satiety signal that wasn't working. The medication changes the signal, not the person. Eating mostly well with room for occasional splurges is the sustainable version, and the person who could 'just eat less' before the medication probably didn't need it in the first place.

Switching to less food and cutting back heavy carbs was the move for me. Fair warning though - digestion changes big time, so grab a stool softener and you'll be fine.

Starting out on rets, got some coming. Wondering what foods work, any tips on white rice and pasta plus some protein? Appreciate any suggestions.

my fat face was all over my passport. went on a cruise and the customs agent did a double-take. awesome job on your journey!

Just a shake doesn't cut it for me in the mornings. Looking for other breakfast options or things people combine with shakes to actually feel full. What works for you guys?

It's the same answer every time and there's a reason - the fundamentals don't change. Protein and volume eating do most of the work. The medication just makes it actually achievable for people who couldn't get there otherwise. The 'just eat less' framing misses why that was hard in the first place.

Honestly, a single day simply isn't enough for subcutaneous injections to work their way through your body and activate. If anything shows up that fast, the effects would be pretty small. Sounds like you might have some worry about this medication, and feeling better only once you thought it had cleared is a telling sign. Before your next dose, what can you do to build confidence in what you're taking?
