Just started Oz... fingers crossed!

Hong Kong Yanpep International
The burn on belly placement is common at 0.25mg - it often improves once the area adapts. Slower dissolution is normal; timing varies by injection site and whether you warmed the pen first.

Started in February and 2 lbs on the second dose while eating clean and doing 8-10k steps daily is the beginning of the data. 0.25 to 0.5mg is where most people start seeing something more definitive. The first month is often more about adjustment than visible results. How long before the scale started to match the effort?

The bariatric surgery comparison is actually a useful frame for understanding why a sustained medication approach makes more sense for some people. The secondary effects after stopping are the risk that doesn't get talked about enough when surgery is presented as the permanent solution. First injection with the Ozempic pen is a very different commitment level. What motivated you to try Ozempic now versus before?

The anhedonia reversal where morning coffee and social interactions are enjoyable again after the initial dose adjustment is one of the less-discussed early responses. The vape enjoyment coming back is the reward pathway recalibrating. First week at 0.25mg is the very beginning - most of what the medication actually does takes 4-8 weeks to become visible. Good start.

Running a calorie deficit alongside ozempic. Figure this counts as a full lifestyle overhaul, and getting real results means putting in genuine effort. Down about 6 pounds across two weeks so far. Just took shot number three last night.

Same to you! Still at .25 myself for now, moving up to .5 next week. I'm 5'9 and at 280 right now, was 325 pounds at my heaviest and sat at 295 the day I started ozempic. Getting in about 1800 calories daily, staying more active than before though it's still not quite where it needs to be, working on that part. Think it's clicking for me because I respond well to it, kicked off from a high starting point, and I'm pretty locked in on the diet side. Fingers crossed it keeps working because I've still got plenty of distance left to cover. Hope you hit your goal weight before 2027!

Ran Ozempic for a year and a half and hit a wall, so I moved over to Mounjaro at .2.5 five weeks back as a bridge option. Doctor bumped me to .5 but insurance held things up, so it's actually been a solid fortnight since my last injection. Curious how the .5 amount will hit once I finally take that first shot Saturday morning. Hoping just like the original poster that fullness kicks in fast for me too.
