Ozempic came prescribed for Type II diabetes, and right away my numbers were the best I've ever had. Metformin stayed, but the stronger diabetes meds went. I will not drop metformin because of studies on cutting cancer odds and slowing aging. I'm plateaued at 212 pounds right now. I'm on 1mg, having started .25, then .5, then 1. Over three years I have dropped 58 pounds. As the pandemic wound down, worry and binge eating pushed me to 280, after about 20 years at 265-270. I was back to 270 when I started, hence 212. No, my eating hasn't been as healthy as it should: dinner is meat and vegetables, and I try (frequently unsuccessfully) to avoid dessert. Waking around 11:00 AM and dealing with physical limits at 73, I get little exercise.
