Just started Wegovy - feeling queasy!

Hong Kong Yanpep International
Just beginning myself and hoping for solid results without surgery. The food noise reduction would be amazing. Congrats on your progress!

Seeing the actual numbers helped me realize how much progress I was actually making. Clothes fitting better and compliments were nice, but the data really drove it home. Even with the ups and downs week to week, the overall trend is what matters. Keep at it, you're doing great!

the September scan showing 25 lbs already gone before starting Wegovy gives you a different baseline than someone starting from scratch. the queasy feeling in week one is nearly universal and it usually settles. that 25 lbs head start means the foundation is already there. how long until the next scan to compare?

The muscle versus fat composition distinction is where GLP-1 trials have historically fallen short of community expectations - scale weight is the easy metric but lean mass preservation is the one that determines long-term metabolic outcome. The next generation of compounds has preservation as a primary design target, and the side effect measurement trajectory is also improving.

Wegovy barely did anything for me, mounjaro on the other hand was incredible. Now 5-6 months in though and running into exactly what you described on wegovy, appetite's back and I'm struggling to stop the weight from creeping up.

Pretty new to Wegovy myself. Had a fair number of side effects right at the intro .25 dose, so my doctor's keeping me there another four weeks. Down 15 lbs in four weeks though and still losing at just the intro amount. Not sure what's ahead, but doc mentioned possibly moving me over to Zepbound down the line if these keep sticking around. Dealing with constipation, gas, heartburn, burping, plus the occasional bout of diarrhea.

Here's the thing, this medication hasn't given me a single side effect. What scares me is finding out wegovy hits harder in comparison.

Taking the Wegovy pill version here too. Dealing with serious fatigue, some days I literally have to push myself just to move. Figured out I probably wasn't drinking enough water or getting enough protein. Had half a ham sandwich earlier today and actually noticed I felt a bit better.

Thank you! Going well so far, noticing my appetite's down and I've lost 10 pounds! Only complaint is occasional stomach upset with high-fiber foods lol. How's your experience been? Which version are you on?

Roughly seventeen days into this and honestly the monthly fee structure plus separate medication cost were explained clearly upfront. It's pricey, the membership does bump up in month two, buried in the fine print, and yes, they'll definitely push protein drinks and bars at you. A tradeoff I'm okay budgeting around. Currently on a moderate pill dose of the oral option, every other day. Some mild morning nausea and a few other side effects right at the start, though things are easing. Already five pounds down from a starting weight around 150. Genuinely surprised how well it's quieting food noise and curbing appetite at such a low pill amount. Their support staff responds reasonably fast, within a few hours, and gives solid guidance on managing side effects. One odd glitch though, I keep getting prompted to complete a monthly evaluation daily, definitely a bug on their end.

Glad to hear this too. Only managed three Wegovy shots at the .25mg amount. First one went great, zero side effects. Second one, roughly fifteen minutes later, hit with a wave of anxiety. Chalked it up in the moment to exhaustion plus too much caffeine that day. Third shot, same fifteen-minute delay, a worse anxiety episode dragging on much longer. Stopped after that, and my progress stalled right along with it.

My former doctor insisted any weight loss drug would produce that identical response and suggested I just fast instead. (Found a new one since then!!)

Held onto the weight I'd already lost, hit the gym five times weekly, lift twice a week. My shape's shifting, but the scale itself won't move. Would love to try Mounjaro to knock off the last 30 pounds. (Shed 60 pounds gradually over ten years through lifestyle changes following a thyroid diagnosis, then menopause hit. Lost 10 more on Wegovy and want another 30 gone.)
