Just starting out... your advice?

Hong Kong Yanpep International
Second week in and doing fine, no major side effects to report. Logging every meal and drink carefully to hold a calorie deficit while still eating enough. You can even ask an AI assistant to help calculate that for you.

Hitting the gym four to five times weekly for strength training.

Took body measurements before my very first dose so I can compare progress monthly too. Weigh in weekly, same day as my injection.

Drink plenty of water and lean on unprocessed foods first and foremost, then fill in protein gaps with supplements only if you genuinely need to.

Don't skip vegetables either, your gut will thank you for the fiber.

Barely dealt with nausea myself, maybe a touch on day one. Ate smaller portions to manage that. Just make sure you're still eating enough overall.

For context, I'm just over five feet tall and started around 78kg. Currently averaging 1300-1400 calories daily, following a Mediterranean-style diet.

Just had shot number two at 2.5mg yesterday. Also on metformin, weighing north of 360lbs. Down 8lbs (3.6kg) after the first week. Dealt with a lot of gas, bloating, and some diarrhea. It did keep me fuller for longer after meals, and I noticed food just wasn't on my mind nearly as much as usual. After the second injection I had a mild headache and some burping, feeling better today with nothing else to report.

My first shot, 2.5, was a couple days back, so I'm also just beginning. My stomach was a bit upset the first two days, but the big surprise is how much my cravings dropped. Starting the following day I've felt full sooner and haven't snacked, which is amazing. The next few months look promising, my target is roughly 20 pounds.

Think of 2.5 as a warm-up for your body. You may drop a couple of pounds but don't expect much in that first month, even 1-2 lbs weekly counts as a good start. Stepping up to 5mg/L is when you'll see progress. A pharmacy error put me straight on 5.0, and I'm 30 lbs down as of this morning, after my 12th dose last Saturday. One recommendation: go easy at the gym, every single day may be too much. I work out at home three days weekly, which keeps my skin tight and builds muscle. Ignore the post below claiming you can't lose until 15mg/L, no study I've read supports that. Eat when hunger hits instead of by the clock and the weight will start to drop.

homey_runner We seem to be on the same schedule lol, my third 2.5 shot was yesterday. Mine is prescribed for type 2 diabetes, with weight loss as a side bonus. My doctor plans to move me to 5 mg at shot 5, and she said the 2.5 was basically a tolerance test.
